This page is maintained by the Local Chef Connect team to explain in plain language what data we collect and how we use it. It is not a substitute for tailored legal review.
What we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, zip code), profile info for chefs (bio, cuisine, photos), order and messaging history, and payment metadata from Stripe. We use approximate location (city/zip) to match you with nearby chefs.
How we use it
To match you with chefs, run the marketplace (orders, subscriptions, delivery scheduling), send transactional emails, prevent fraud, and improve the product. We never sell your data.
Who we share it with
Chefs you order from (name, delivery details, dietary requests), Stripe (payments), our hosting and mapping providers, and law enforcement when legally required. That's it.
Your controls
Access, export, or delete your data any time from the account settings, or by emailing privacy@localchefconnect.example. Cancel your membership from Manage billing.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not run third-party ad trackers.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited and logged. Payment card data never touches our servers — it goes directly to Stripe.
